Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System Community Stewardship Day

Oct 26 | 10:00 am - 12:00 pm | Nicholson RMA

Join us on Saturday, Oct. 26 for a Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System Community Stewardship Day!

Come spend a couple of hours working with ecologists from Conservation Halton on restoration of the Nicholson Resource Management Area in Dundas. We will remove invasive species and plant native trees and shrubs to help restore a creek flowing through the Nicholson RMA, from the Niagara Escarpment into Cootes Paradise. This work will improve the ecological quality of the land, providing habitat for numerous species, and improve water quality in Cootes Paradise and Hamilton Harbour.

This event will be a great opportunity to help restore natural lands while learning from experts on the ecology of our area and the work they are doing to improve it.

All equipment will be provided and refreshments will be on hand too!

Advance registration is required; to register please contact:
