Living Next to Nature: Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System Open House

Please join Councillor Rick Craven the evening of Thursday, March 27, 2014 for a community open house about the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System, our remarkable local natural areas, and how you can get involved.

The evening will feature a fascinating presentation by Tys Theysmeyer, Head of Natural Lands at Royal Botanical Gardens, on Living Next to Nature.  The Birds of Prey from Mountsberg will also be in attendance, providing a great opportunity to see these magnificent birds up close and learn more about them.  In addition, there will be displays and information materials about Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System, the Hamilton Halton Watershed Stewardship Program, and other local environmental initiatives, with staff on hand to answer your questions.

The open house will begin at 6:30 pm, with presentations starting at 7:00  pm (see list below). The open house will conclude at 8:30 pm.

This open house is one of a series of community open houses about the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System. Other open houses will be held in

  • Flamborough on April 8, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, location to be confirmed 
  • Westdale on April 30, 2014 6:30 – 8:30 pm at the Lawn Bowling Clubhouse in Churchill Park
