Healthy Neighbourshed Workshops

Do you live in Hamilton or Burlington and are you interested in upgrading your yard, but don’t know where to start? Our stewardship technician Erin Mallon along with Conservation Halton staff will be hosting workshops that will lead you through the steps to creating a gardening plan which is low cost, environmentally friendly and enhances the beauty of your garden and curb appeal.

Hamilton workshops will be held at Melrose United Church (86 Homewood Ave., Westdale) while Burlington workshops will be held at St. Mathew On-the-Plains (126 Plains Road East, Aldershot). Workshops run from 6:30 to 8:00 on the following dates:

Hamilton: Feb. 21, 28, March 7

Burlington: Feb. 20, 27, March 6

The three workshops themes are: 'Getting Started!', 'Working with Nature; Selecting the Right Plants', and 'Rain Gardens and Low-Impact Landscaping'
